Brothers Richie & Jamie Martin, better known as folk outfit Cry Monster Cry, have been selected to represent the music that Ireland has to offer in the global video project.

The campaign is run by talented Brazilian Producers, Leo Longo and Diana Boccara who travel the world choosing a select few musicians or bands from each region to work with. They create a concept with the band and produce a package of highest quality and all of the videos are done in one seamless shot. The collaborative project allows music and art to travel the world to new audiences. They have worked with huge international acts such as We Were Promised Jetpacks in Scotland, Ben L’Oncle Soul in France and Vanguart in Brazil.

Cry Monster Cry were selected to represent Ireland along with The Coronas, Mick Flannery and The Delorentos.
Cry Monster Cry, along with Leo and Diana, chose the track “Starling” from the band’s debut record, “Rhythm Of Dawn” as the song for the project. The video reflects the theme of getting inspiration from nature, something that is inherent in the record.
The producers were keen to showcase the lush beauty that Ireland has to offer, and headed to the woods of Massey’s Estate high in the Dublin Mountains (near the infamous Hellfire Club) to shoot the mystical sequence for the video that premiered yesterday (Mon 21 Sep).

The video follows a string of successful months for Cry Monster Cry. Fresh from an appearance to millions of viewers on “The Imelda May Show”, the brothers are currently touring Ireland and the UK. Last weekend saw them playing their first London show in Islington to an excited crowd in the city.

They are set to play their biggest ever headline show in Dublin this Oct 23 in The Button Factory.
