ANDERSON – THE BUTTON FACTORY, DUBLIN

ANDERSON

THE BUTTON FACTORY, DUBLIN

WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 9TH 2015

Following a hectic few months, which saw his debut album ‘Patterns’ released, a video of him selling the album door to door going viral with over 1,000,000 views on various platforms, and across the board acclaim, Daniel Anderson rounds off the year next week with his biggest headline show to date, at the Button Factory in Dublin.

The Dubliner, whose video documenting the journey from building his own studio to selling his album door to door, took on a life of its own when posted online, reaching a combined Facebook/Youtube audience of over 100,000 people sending sales of his Debut LP ‘Patterns’ soaring and bringing him into the consciousness of an audience spanning Glen Hansard, Roddy Doyle, Mattress Mick, Dustin the Turkey, thus prompting Ryan Tubridy to invite him to perform on RTE’s Late Late show on the evening of the release.

‘Patterns’ was both Niall Byrne’s (Nialler9) and Dan Hegarty’s album of the week. The Ian Dempsey breakfast show made the first single from the LP ‘Things We Have In Common’ their song of the week. Jim Carroll of the Irish Times described Anderson as “the real deal” and ‘Patterns’ as “one of the gems of the current season”

In an industry in a constant state of flux, Anderson has found a footing on which to build something viable. His enterprising DIY approach from start to finish has led to almost 500 12” Vinyl copies of the album being sold door to door and directly through his website in the first week of the release.
