Dylan Tighe – On My Knees

WABI-SABI SOUL is the title of Dylan Tighe’s second album out today April 15th, but it also serves as an apt description of the sound, and spirit, of the Dubliner’s new album. Wabi-Sabi Soul is Dylan’s vision in deeply personal song and lyrics of how the tenets of ‘wabi-sabi’ – a Japanese world view or aesthetic centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection – can be applied to the search for his personal re-birth. Album available as a digital download exclusively from dylantighe.bandcamp.com €10.

Sample Answer has revealed the video for his brand new track ‘Collision’ which is the title track from his forthcoming EP released on April 22nd through ACP recordings / Essential Music.

‘Collision’ sees Sample Answer take on a new dreamy, hypnotic sound – while other tracks on the EP channel his unique folk rock sound with an urban twist.  Recorded in London, Sample Answer has teamed up with previous producers Lestyn Polson (David Bowie and Patti Smith) as well as Hugh Fothergill (Bipolar Sunshine, Ed Sheeran, Kodaline, Nitin Sawhney) to record the new EP.

Having already released two EP’s in 2015 Sample Answer has received wide support for previous singles ‘Good Boy’ and ‘Textile Baby’ with BBC’s Annie Mac and Zane Lowe playing the tracks on their shows. Pigeons and Planes also included Sample Answer in their tips for “artists about to blow.“

HAWK who formed in its current line-up in spring 2013, is quickly becoming a favourite of Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Frank Skinner, Simon Raymonde among many others in the UK, together with being playlisted by XFM, BBC Radio 6 and Amazing Radio to name a few.   While May 2015’s ‘Glass’ (released in solidarity with the Irish Marriage Equality YES campaign) has been the attraction for some new admirers in media circles in the UK, others such as Tom Robinson & Dave Rowntree have been following the band for some time.  Of the band’s ‘Clock Hands’ (rel spring 2015) UK release BBC Radio 6’s Tom Robinson is quoted as saying “Clock Hands is one of the strongest records we’ve played all year”, and Dave Rowntree of XFM “Almost impossibly beautiful”
