We’d Have It All – Shane Fallon (The Shoos)

Shane (Tex) Fallon’s voice is possibly the best-known instrument within his band, The Shoos, so it’s no surprise the lead vocalist was tempted to investigate releasing a solo track at some point.

Now in 2018, after getting married in 2017 and set to become a dad later this year, Shane figures this is as good time as ever. ‘We’d Have It All’,is the first of a few singles he plans to release under his own name this year, ahead of going back into studio, to record the next album by The Shoos.

The single goes live today, April 5th, and perfect to get our enthusiasm for spring off to a proper start. The accompanying video was filmed by good friend Stephen Mogerly, whose work as a film maker is already well documented and admired.

‘We’d Have It All’was inspired by Shane’s love of Motown together with his admiration for Lenny Kravitz’s music.

As a band, The Shoos has impressed many industry heavy weights through the years. This admiration was cemented by many of these inviting the band to guest on theirlive shows, including One Republic, Maroon 5, Life House & Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters). Indeed, on the release of the band’s last long play, 2016’s self-titled The Shoos, the band was askedto guest with Jeff Lynne at his 3Arena show in Dublin, just a few weeks later. This guest slot was quickly followed by an invitation directly from Jeff Lynne and his management to play his home town show at Birmingham Arenalater the same summer.

Shane packs ‘We’d Have It All’with the similar energy he gives to all his records and live performances. It’s a stomper of a track, and we for one are delighted to hear his voice again, even if we had to wait two years, and we figure you guys just might be too!

The Shoos – Top Of The World

You would be right to think it’s been a couple of years since you heard from The Shoos.  It’s been three & a half to be precise since 2012’s Panic Slowly.  This was preceded by 2011’s No1 Rescue Room.

With just a year between Rescue Room and Panic Slowly, Shane ‘Tex’, Scott, Steve & Joe simply wanted to chill and take their time over the follow up new long play.  The band is “very proud of the album”, and “for us we believe it to be our best work to date”.

The self-titled new album has just gone live for pre-order on itunes and is set for release on 26th February next.  While on pre-order the album is at the special price of €5.99 (from release the price will be €7.99).

The new single ‘Top Of The World’ is also an instant grat, therefore, can be downloaded straight away once pre-order has been made.

Together since the late 2000s, The Shoos caught the attention of radio & media in general with the release of some crackin singles, which were rewarded with generous radio support in the form of playlist presence.  In addition, since its formation, the band has been selected on various occasions as UTV Radio’s Select Irish Artist Of The Month, IASCA’s Play Irish artist of the week, Dermot & Dave’s Homegrown Hero selection and many other individual, but consistent nods from both national and independent local radio.  All of which, together with many TV appearances and successful live shows have given the band a solid audience of loyal fans.

The Shoos live shows have also been given the nod by some industry heavy weights including One Republic, who invited them to tour when the latter happened to hear the band play in Whelans during a visit to the city.  Shane ‘Tex’, Scott, Steve & Joe have also enjoyed high profile guest slots with Maroon 5, Life House & Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), amongst others
